South Point Douglas is a fragmented neighborhood which fits different types of areas in a puzzle. The fragmentation is made worse by railroads and the Disraeli Freeway as crisscrossing through the outskirts of the neighbourhood, disconnecting SPD from the greater Winnipeg. The dereliction of South Point Douglas creates both a fascinating urban context and opportunities for development.
The group focuses on infrastructure as a major element for researching South Point Douglas, but extends the research to various other aspects of the site as well. As such, the strategy and reference also focuses on infrastructure.
